Artist's Depiction of the Ankh of Eternity
The Ankh of Eternity, also known as the Ankh of Moaog (MO-og), was a religious artifact obsessively pursued by both the Godking and Princess Orithia. The true nature of the Ankh, and whether it actually exists or is a construct of generations of oral tradition, is a subject of contentious debate between scholars and theologians.

Religious teachings state the Ankh was originally a divine gift from the First Gods to Moaog the Unbeliever. Legends claims the Ankh was indestructible, hence the reference to “Eternity”. The relic was to be a symbol of the Gods' existence and a testament to their great powers. For these purposes, the Ankh was imbued with divine powers to cure diseases, heal the injured, and raise the dead.
For a time, Moaog wielded the powers of the Ankh of Eternity to do good deeds throughout the lands. However, he was corrupted by its potential and sought to raise an army of the dead to rule the world. With his many conquests, the First Gods were outraged that the Ankh, a relic born out of good intentions, was bent towards evil. They also grew fearful that Moaog would seek godship himself with his newfound powers.
They therefore tricked him to ascending to the top of Mount Yacata, the highest mountain at the time, to meet with them and join them. Instead, they struck him down with heavenly lightning twelve times. They then cast massive snows down upon the mountain, hoping to bury the Ankh and obscure it from humanity forever. There, it was to remain for eternity.
